A grand Vermont resort with centuries of history doesn’t run on charm alone — it runs on people.
People who book your dream wedding, prep your conference down to the napkin folds, and make sure your big moment goes off with a wow, not a whoops.
At The Equinox Golf Resort & Spa, this behind-the-scenes magic is powered by a team with big talent, big heart, and in one case, big paws.
Meet the crew who keeps the Equinox experience unforgettable — one guest, one gathering, and one Mo the dog at a time.
Ella Salcido: Small Events, Big Energy
“I handle all the smaller events,” says Ella Salcido, Catering Sales Manager and West Coast transplant. “I love doing events here at the Equinox, and when I’m not here, I am skiing.”
Don’t let the “small events” label fool you. Ella’s detail game is sharp, and her ski legs don’t hurt either. She’s the kind of person who knows which napkin color won’t clash with your peonies and how to carve turns down Stratton before breakfast. Whether it’s a corporate brunch or a birthday bash, she brings precision and fun in equal measure.
Beth Crawford: Orchestrator of ‘I Do’ Moments
Beth Crawford handles “weddings 125 and larger.” In other words, the kind where every second cousin RSVPs, and then some. A native of the Adirondacks now living in Wallingford, Vermont, Beth thrives in the joyful chaos of big-day planning.
“The best thing about working here is working with a really great team and the banquet staff across the street,” she says.
When she’s not fine-tuning floral timelines, Beth plays piano and guitar and hangs with her family—skills that probably help her stay cool under bouquet-throwing pressure.
Diane Lovell: The Keeper of Stories
Some know the Equinox for its luxury. Diane Lovell, Assistant Director of Catering and Conference Services, knows it for its lore.
“My favorite part about the Equinox is its extremely storied past and all of the history that surrounds us every day,” she says.
Originally from Virginia, Diane has called Vermont home for over 30 years. She brings a historian’s reverence and a host’s intuition to every event.
Off the clock, she’s serving up stories and suppers: “I enjoy cooking for family and friends.”
Jillian Vallo: Team Player, Family First
Originally from Sleepy Hollow (yes, that Sleepy Hollow), Jillian Vallo moved north to be closer to family and lucked into another one at work.
“My favorite thing about working at the Equinox is probably my sales team… my sales and catering team. They're the best team in the world,” she says.
Jillian’s got a soft spot for dogs and downtime at home, which probably explains the calm energy she brings to her sales role. She’s the kind of teammate who knows when to push and when to pause, a crucial talent when planning anything from executive retreats to lavish soirées.
Mary Hatt: Garden Whisperer & Coordination Queen
Mary Hatt, Catering Coordinator, is another New Yorker turned Vermonter who found more than a job at the Equinox — she found her people.
“My favorite thing about the Equinox is the people I work with,” she says.
In her spare time, Mary can be found in her garden, cultivating blooms with the same care she applies to scheduling and spreadsheets.
She’s the silent hero of behind-the-scenes logistics, proving that green thumbs and clipboard skills coexist peacefully.
Toni Carle: The Long Game Legend
Toni Carle has been with Equinox for 34 years. Yes, you read that right, 34 years! Originally from Cambridge, New York, Toni has practically grown up with the property and knows every inch of its past and present.
“I love our history,” she says. And when she’s off-duty? “Playing with my dog Mo and playing cards.”
If the Equinox had a team trivia night, bet on Toni. She brings decades of wisdom, a dog named Mo, and likely a royal flush to every table.
Mo: Chief Vibes Officer (CVO)
“My name is Mo. I'm originally from Kennebunkport, Maine,” begins the most unexpectedly adorable bio in the Equinox lineup. “My favorite thing about the Equinox is that they're pet friendly, and my favorite thing to do is come to work with my mom.”
Yes, that Mo, Toni’s loyal sidekick and the resort’s unofficial mascot. He’s the tail-wagging reminder that hospitality isn’t just about events but warmth, preferably in the form of a dog belly scratch.
Equinox Resort: Where Talent Meets Heart
From ski-loving planners to dog-loving sales pros, the Equinox team isn’t just booking events — they’re building moments that matter. Each team member brings their own rhythm to the mix, whether in a wedding waltz, a family reunion barbecue, or a surprise piano solo from Beth.
What ties them together? A shared love for what they do and who they do it with.
So next time you're at the Equinox, take a second to appreciate the people (and paws) behind the magic. They're the reason this resort doesn’t just sparkle — it shines.
