Join Richard Hom, Equinox Chef Concierge and Les Clef d’Or USA member for a 30 to 45-minute tour of the Equinox. You’ll explore parts of the hotel such as the Colonnade Grand Ballroom, Marsh Tavern and Falcon Bar. Learn untold stories about Ethan Allen, Robert Todd Lincoln and other interesting fun and historical tidbits about the Equinox and its place in the history of Manchester. He’ll also suggest many of his favorite seasonally appropriate local activities indigenous to Vermont. LAND ROVER EXPERIENCE – The School offers off-road driving year round for experienced drivers and curious adventure seekers alike. Choose the Discovery, Land Rover Evoque, Discovery Sport, Range Rover Sport or their “flagship”, Range Rover. AREA HIKING — Walks and Hikes are great ways to explore the natural beauty and history of Manchester & the Mountains. Some of the best trails include: The Equinox Preserve consists of over 914 acres and 12 miles of trails on the slopes of Mt Equinox. Some of the favorite views in the Trust are the Equinox Pond, Robin’s Lookout and Lookout Rock. Terrain varies from easy to very challenging. For more hikes, see the concierge desk. OR Lye Brook Falls. The trail, marked with blue blazes, enters the 15,680 acre Lye Brook Wilderness following along Lye Brook. The spur trail at 1.8 miles on the right, leads to the 125-foot high Lye Brook Falls, one of the highest in Vermont. See concierge desk for driving directions to the trail head. 3 mile drive from the hotel.

ART GALLERIES – Visit several premier galleries in the area. Including the Helmholz Fine Art, Tilting at Windmills Gallery, Start, The Mountain Painters & Artisans Gallery in Manchester Village, 3 Pears Gallery in Dorset. FARMER’S MARKET, Sundays from 10am to 2pm (JK Adams Kitchen Store, Route 30) – “Shop Local, Shop Fresh” – From over 30 area producers find freshly picked vegetables and fruits, home baked breads and pastries, artisan cheeses and wines, grass-fed meat and poultry, free-range eggs, canned condiments and pickled produce, specialty goods, hot prepared foods, funtional Vermont crafts and live, local music.

HILDENE – THE LINCOLN FAMILY HOME Abraham Lincoln’s descendants lived in this 24-room Georgian Revival mansion until 1975. Visitor’s center, main house, refurbished Pullman train car, Nubian Goat farm and cheese making facility. Open daily 9:30am – 4:30pm. Admission: Adults $23.00, Youth (6-14) $6.00, Children (6 and under) FREE. Guided tours at 1:00 pm for an extra $7.50. PLEASE PICK UP ALL PASSES AT THE HILDENE VISITOR CENTER.

HORSE DRAWN SLEIGH RIDES – Enjoy scenic wagon rides through the snow-capped Green Mountains. Weather dependent. All locations are within 30 minutes of the hotel. Rides are 45 minutes in duration. Dependent on snow conditions.ate an opportunity for art to inspire connections and conversations. The exhibition will provide space to come together–which is at the center of our mission. ICE SKATING – Enjoy ice skating at the indoor Olympic sized Riley Rink. Located about 3 miles north of the Equinox off Route 7A at Hunter Park. For Public Skating Hours: Weekends 1:00pm – 3:00pm. MANCHESTER HOT GLASS — Make your own glass paper weight: pick glass colors and shape it to make your own one-ofa-kind creation. Or create a custom blown piece like a bowl, vase or drinking glass. Classes available Thurs-Sat 10am5pm, Sundays 10am-3pm @ $50/person/paperweight or $100/person/blown piece. All ages 5+. Reservations needed.
