Orvis Fly Fishing School

Available April 14th through October 14th
Pursue outdoor precision at the Orvis Fly Fishing School at the Equinox. The school teaches tactics for stream fishing. Enjoy an afternoon trip to The Battenkill River -- our moving-water classroom where you'll learn how to correctly fish with different types of flies. On the final morning, there is a catch-and-release session that gives you the opportunity to match wits with the wary inhabitants of our two private ponds. Using video-recording equipment to monitor and analyze each student's casting technique, our flagship school offers rods, reels, lines, waders, and fishing vests for the entire program. Our courses include:
- Instruction for mastering the essential fly-fishing knots
- A concise presentation on requisite tackle and its function
- A straightforward intro to freshwater entomology and fly selection
- Three separate casting clinics, designed to give you maximum hands-on exposure to the Orvis Progressive Casting Method
To book a course, call 800-235-9763 or visit www.orvis.com.
