Elegant and family-friendly (for both pets and kids)

“We recently returned from a visit to the Equinox with my 2.5-year-old son and mid-sized dog. Everyone had a fantastic time. The setting is beautiful and very bucolic. We had visited before as a couple and enjoyed the beautiful setting and comfortable rooms, but never with a toddler in tow. We had a wonderful visit as a family and will definitely be back.

The staff was very friendly, accommodating and patient of a toddler’s whims. Everyone from the front desk, to the concierge, to the wait staff at the wonderful breakfast restaurant, to the maintenance people, made us feel at home.

The gardeners were sprinkling grass seed, saw my son watching, and invited him to help them by grabbing a handful of seed and putting it on the lawn. He was so proud of himself and that is just emblematic of how welcoming everyone was.

The rooms are spacious, well-designed and comfortable. We were there during some construction, but there was no noticeable noise and minimal inconvenience.”

Wonderful Stay at the Equinox

“Had a wonderful stay at the Equinox, which is a great old inn, fully renovated and outfitted with modern conveniences and services. I was upgraded to a deluxe king room in the main building in the inn and enjoyed the large, well-appointed room with full access to the spa. While I did not eat in the hotel, the dining rooms and menu looked good. Service was very friendly and helpful, and I was able to check in early.

The king bed and bedding were very plush and comfortable and the room quite quiet. Very convenient to the middle of Manchester Center and the historic district, to shopping, Orvis and the American Museum of Fly Fishing, a beautiful museum just down the road.

The inn also maintains a shuttle for guests as well as complimentary valet parking. Reasonably priced for the quality of the accommodation.”

Romantic Weekend Away

“We spent a romantic weekend at The Equinox on an especially cold few days. We predominately stayed on the resort grounds and were so happy that we did. The rooms are very spacious, clean, and comfortable with terrific views of the mountains.

The Marsh Tavern and Falcon Bar provided an intimate atmosphere with delicious food and drinks.

The spa…worth its weight in gold.

Finally, the service provided by the staff (before and after our visit) cemented in my mind that we will be returning to The Equinox the next time we travel to Vermont.”

Ski Weekend

“Great property. The best in Manchester, VT. Close to skiing.

This was my family’s fifth time at this property. Always a great experience. A beautiful property in a spectacular location. The restaurants are also great. No need to leave the property. 15-min drive to Bromley ski resort.”

First Class

“We spent 3 nights while skiing at Stratton Mountain. The hotel is beautiful and charming with fireplaces burning and comfortable areas where guests can relax. The food was exceptional with specialties like cider donuts and homemade pretzel rods. The staff was cheerful and helpful, offering thoughtful suggestions. Spa and pool very nice. Enjoyed a great massage after skiing. Our stay was relaxing, no worries. We have stayed at the hotel and will definitely stay again.”

Great weekend at the Equinox

“We had a very relaxing stay at the Equinox. We stayed in a one-bedroom suite at the Orvis Inn, which was large and very comfortable… I think we’d try a smaller room next time as we didn’t make use of the kitchen, dining room, etc.

We loved that the trail head was at the back of the hotel. We took a long hike up the mountain.

We also had massages at the Spa. We arrived about 20 minutes before our appointments, which was enough time to try out the steam room and relax in the waiting area (very cozy with a fireplace) ahead of time. We both had very relaxing massages.

We loved how close the hotel was to downtown Manchester – via walking or a short drive. We liked stopping by the hotel bar for a drink before dinner. The bartenders were friendly and there was both an indoor and outdoor area (with a fire pit)”
